PHOTOS, PLAYER CARDS AND VIDEO Nations' Cup 2001 photo gallery contains nearly 200 photos, and World Championships 2001 photo gallery will contain some 800 photos. You can order any chosen photo from these galleries on real photo paper, in these four sizes:
These prices already include postage to your address anywhere in the world: no additional costs. (Minimum order FIM 30.-. If you order the CD-ROM, then there is no minimum order for photos.) (Note: This offer is valid until 30 September 2001 only. From 1 October 2001 on, handling costs FIM 5.- will be added to all photo orders.) When you find at our site a photo that you are interested in, this is how you identify it when you make the order: Click the right mouse button on the photo. Then choose from the pop-up menu "Save as". You'll see the name of the photo file in the saving dialogue box. Write the name of the photo in your notebook, and use this name when you order the photo. Write after the name of the photo the code "CARD" if you want a 10 x 6.5 cm photo (price FIM 2.-), or the code "NORMAL" if you want 10 x 15 cm size (price FIM 4.-), the code "MAXI" if you want 13 x 19 cm size (price FIM 6.-), or the code "EXTRA" if you desire 20 x 30 cm size (price FIM 18.-). Many photos in World Championships photo gallery will have texts and statistics in commercial "card collection" style. If you want to have such a picture without any texts, as a plain original photo, then add to the code "NO TEXT".

The total file size of 1000 megapixel photos will be nearly 200 MB. How long does it take time if you download all these photos from our site? Don't worry. You can get all the contents of this website (after the tournament), and 25 minutes of the highlights of the competition in AVI video format. All this on one CD, price FIM 50.-. All the statistics, all the results, all the photos. No World Wide Waiting... it all loads in an instant from your CD drive. The code of this product is "Vaasa 2001 CD-ROM". One second of television-quality full-screen video takes 1 MB file size (!), so one CD (700 MB) can only contain less than 12 minutes of such video data. By using small screen size (380 x 280, see the sample below), we can squeeze 25 minutes of video data into 450 MB, which leaves 250 MB for the photos and other website contents. 
It is possible to adjust the screen size according to your wishes, nearly to full-screen size, but we must use so heavy file compression that picture quality will greatly suffer if you try to enlarge the video screen. If you want to test how the picture quality changes when you adjust the size, click the "screen" above, and then change the size of the window from full-screen to very small. (If you are using Internet Explorer, press F11 to get a true full-screen window.) The video will be compressed yet more than this sample pic. The video can be played with Windows Media Player (a standard Windows program), or any other program that plays AVI files. Windows Media Player lets you adjust the screen size while you watch the video, the maximum size is about 70% of your monitor.
